Puppets & Popcorn

On Saturday May 10, 2008 Geppetto Dreams Puppet Company kicks off their summer puppet film program Puppets and Popcorn. Saturday nights throughout this summer they will feature a different puppet themed film. This programs opening feature is the wild and demented Meet the Feebles from Rings trilogy director Peter Jackson. This film carries an R rating and no one under 17 will be admitted to this showing. With shows at 8 and 10pm Tickets are a suggested 5$ donation and as seating is limited it’s suggested that you arrive early or get your tickets online at www.geppettodreams.com

Then on May 24^th there’s a more family friendly offering with 2 episodes of Jim Henson’s amazing puppet series “The Storyteller” “The Soldier & Death” and “The True Bride.” There will be a kids show at 6pm and a kid at heart show at 9pm.

Throughout the rest of the summer there will be movies and live performance films from The Quay Brothers, Basil Twist, Jiri Trnka, puppet documentaries as well as episodes of Dante’s Place.
