We have A Theater
It was a year ago this month that I produced my first puppet show in Austin. That’s when I decided that within a year or two, I would have my own theater. And less then a year later I have one! It’s a small place and will fit about 30-40 people for regular shows and 20 for our salon shows. For those who’ve never heard of salon theater it goes back to 17 and 1800’s Paris when artists would hold theater and art exhibitions for small gatherings. At our salon shows we plan to have a catered dinner and during coffee you’ll be able to see a puppet show. It will also be used as a place to run puppetry and theater workshops for children as well as adults. And finally, as a place to do children’s puppetry theater and to help them develop an appreciation for this amazing art form. The Geppetto Dreams Puppet Company’s new 40 seat salon theater is now accepting bookings for both adult and children’s puppet shows. Think of it as a working vacation in one of the coolest cities in the US, Austin, TX. We are Austin’s newest non-profit theater and offer sound, lights, promotion and a beautiful stage. You just bring your show we supply the rest. We offer a 50/50 split on the door, and ticket prices are on a sliding scale.
